Heck, when I was younger, I remember not even being able to fathom making it to 30. And when I hit 30, I thought the same: "I can't believe I've made it this long."
I can't even imagine 60 let alone 80...I think I kind of get what she's saying.
I can remember as a kid thinking to myself, "Wow, Jane Fonda looks good for such an old lady", and that was like 40 years ago. What the heck is going on with her? Did she make a pact with the devil or something?
The book titled, "Haywire", that was written by the daughter of Hollywood producer, Leland Hayward, describes Jane Fonda and her brother Peter, when they were children and teenagers. She said that Jane was the most all-together and dependable friend, she'd ever had. She was virtuous, kind, and honest, as was her brother. There was no doubt that their parents had done a very good job of raising them, something that is not so common among movie stars.

I was a little young to be so concerned about her politics in the 60’s.
