It’s not that difficult to understand. And the source of your supposedly neutral stance is...?
It doesn't represent anything you said. If the fans really cared they would be in the stands while this is going on instead of getting food and beer. All the fake outrage is just laughable. And my source of my neutral stance is just me and how I feel.

Their JOB is to PLAY FOOTBALL, correct?

Are they playing football while the anthem is being played?

This is a very simple yes or no question.

Neither am I.

Nonetheless, he is entitled to state his opinion.

He has not taken or attempted any action to have the kneelers deported. Nor has he singled out black players or white players who do not stand for the Anthem.

So, I don't see why some are in a tizzy about this...

To shut up and look like something the owners are proud to have on their athletic field. And that something is a proud American who supports the flag and a shared moment of reverence for the free country we live in. While in the stadium, they are employees on the clock who should behave AS INSTRUCTED. If they want to do political protesting, they can do it on their own time and off the private property paid for and controlled by the NFL owners.

Private property? Tax payers pay roughly 65% for the cost of stadiums.

Behave AS INSTRUCTED? Where is that in their contract?

You do realize that part of the freedoms of this country allow them to not take part in the anthem?

Matter of fact, they are even protected by the law.

Funny how that works, isn't it?

I don’t care who pays for stadiums, they are either leased or owned by the NFL owners who are running a private business on the land under their legal control. And the players are employees and are required to follow the basic rules of employment set by the owners.

https://www.paynefears.com/insights/...-protest-games

From the NFL Game Operations Manual: the “National Anthem must be played prior to every NFL game, and all players must be on the sideline for the National Anthem. During the National Anthem, players on the field and bench area should stand at attention, face the flag, hold helmets in their left hand, and refrain from talking.”

Regardless of the legalities, which are clear, the players are mortards for damaging their teammates and owners by protesting law and order and implicitly condoning and supporting mayhem and chaos in the form of criminal behavior. They are also displaying willful ignorance of reality, or maybe taking too many shots to the head just makes them that genuinely stupid.

Stop listening to Trump who claims they are disrespecting our military. This is a peaceful protest for civil rights. Why would anyone find fault with people exercising their rights according to our constitution

Protesting unconstitutional use of force by police officers is supporting mayhem and chaos

The failures we identified in our findings – that we heard about from residents and officers alike

The department found that CPD’s pattern or practice of unconstitutional force is largely attributable to deficiencies in its accountability systems and in how it investigates uses of force, responds to allegations of misconduct, trains and supervises officers, and collects and reports data on officer use of force. The department also found that the lack of effective community-oriented policing strategies and insufficient support for officer wellness and safety contributed to the pattern or practice of unconstitutional force.

In addition, the department also identified serious concerns about the prevalence of racially discriminatory conduct by some CPD officers and the degree to which that conduct is tolerated and in some respects caused by deficiencies in CPD’s systems of training, supervision and accountability.

We found that BPD has engaged in a pattern or practice of serious violations of the U.S. Constitution and federal law...The agency also fails to provide officers with the guidance, oversight and resources they need to police safely, constitutionally and effectively.

Quote:
Ferguson’s law enforcement practices are shaped by the City’s focus on revenue rather
than by public safety needs. This emphasis on revenue has compromised the institutional
character of Ferguson’s police department, contributing to a pattern of unconstitutional policing,
and has also shaped its municipal court, leading to procedures that raise due process concerns
and inflict unnecessary harm on members of the Ferguson community. Further, Ferguson’s
police and municipal court practices both reflect and exacerbate existing racial bias, including
racial stereotypes. Ferguson’s own data establish clear racial disparities that adversely impact
African Americans. The evidence shows that discriminatory intent is part of the reason for these
disparities.

Were these “findings” the result of the justice department hack investigations by the criminal-loving Obama appointee Loretta Lynch? The same Loretta Lynch who had that infamous and of course innocent meeting with Bill Clinton on her private plane where they discussed their “grandkids”? Because you can throw that bs right in the garbage.

Keep in mind, the same ppl in this thread who whined loudly when Obama voiced his harmless one-sentence opinion during the Trayvon Martin fiasco, are the exact ones who think it's awesome Trump is sticking his orange nose where it doesn't belong re the NFL. Hypocrites they are.

It's another reason why the entire world abhors Trump supporters.
