There is nothing usual about this era of politics whereby Trump's approval rating was low in early November 2016, and still won the election.
Also, there is this polling that indicates the Democrats have dropped like a stone....
Reuters 2018 Midterm Elections Polling:
March 4 = Democrats by 11.8%
April 1 = Democrats by 8.9%
April 29 = Democrats by 8.4%
May 20 = Republicans by 2.3%

I'd give Trump credit if the threw out a donut. Problem is, he throws so much feces the donuts are easy to miss.

Trump immediately moves to put tariffs on our allies - penalizing our allies more than China. Europe and Canada are already working on tariffs that do the same to us.

And while ZTE was caught selling to Iran, Trump helps put them back in business at the same time his daughter receives 13 patents in three months.

Now Trump is using a war powers act to force power grids to buy coal, even if it costs more than natural gas or renewable energy. Who will pay for that? We will, both out of our pockets and in added pollution.

I am not the least bit impressed with what Trump has done. It's like watching a man given millions by his father file bankruptcy four times.

Yeah, all Obama had to do was not screw anything up and the recession rebound would have easily handed him 4% GDP growth year after year, but that didn't happen, did it?

I think the effects of his policies will begin unfolding in 2019, and will be most apparent in the early 2020s. Despite the erratic short term markets, long term effects take a lot longer to reveal themselves.

Lightbulb When does Trump, if ever, get credit for the economy??

When his trade wars and trickle-down result in the next recession.

It's coming.

I must preface many of my comments by stating I am not a Trump fan. I disagree with much of what he does. That said, in my opinion, he will NEVER get any credit from the left wing media for the economy. The people, however, will understand if the economy is doing well or not and vote accordingly. Trump inherited a better economy than Obama but it certainly wasn't great by any standard or metric! I'd have to say If you believe that this is still Obama's economy then you must believe that the recovery that took place under Obama was due to Bush!

That is quite the spin there. You don't happen to sell real state in New York by any chance, do you?

How true about the crap-spewing (figuratively).

Which is why the LFPR is still holding steady for the last 4.5 years?
