Hope there are still some rational Republicans left who remember when the GOP was rational, too.

What has become of the Republican Party?
The Republican Party is organised around one man. That is dangerous.

The Economist

The organising principle of Mr Trump’s Republican Party is loyalty. Not, as with the best presidents, loyalty to an ideal, a vision or a legislative programme, but to just one man—Donald J. Trump.

Oh stop with all the drama.
You are showing your youth by buying into the nonsensical media chaff.
Those of us a bit older have heard all the claptrap before.

"The death of the Democrat Party"

"The demise of the Republican Party"

Right, right................YAWN.

They pandered to religious lunatics to win elections and have now been pushed into insanity by the 24 hour fake news cycle. Fox/hannity/rush all peddle false situations to control people via fear. We are left with a large base of fanatical, uneducated, angry people that simply need someone to direct their hate. Enter Trump.

I'm guessing - you didn't read the article, right?

By the way, I suspect it's the opposite. It's precisely the people who've been around for a while who understand how drastically things have changed.

The big problem with Republicans is that any Republican who actually wants to help America is now considered a Rhino. You are either vote for what ever Trump wants no matter how much it hurts Americans or you are a traitor. Sad.

By golly, you can switch some words to: 3 Networks/CNN/MSNBC/Maher/Late Night "comedians"....

and the last word to: Obama...

and your comment would have exactly fit in the last administration as well.
As the saying sorta goes, same shyte / different year.

Why would I bother when it is 'oh so familiar'?

In another decade you'll see what I mean. The pattern will become evident to you.

Why would you comment on something you haven't read? That's a great way to demonstrate your ignorance.

Republicans have tiger by the tail.

They rounded up a bunch of people that would believe any old BS. Kerry was a coward. (For patrolling the Mekong Delta in open Swift Boats rescuing downed pilots, no less. ), Bush/Cheney were mistaken about the WMDs (Easy mistake to make. Chalabi was soooo believable. Who would have thought he was just a con man and and a liar?) Trickle down economics is surely going to work this time. (Despite the fact it defies all logic and any sense of how supply and demand works.) Vote in Republicans in and we'll pack the Supreme Court with corporate shills. "No, no, we meant judges who will make abortions illegal again. That's what we really meant." ...

So they have cultivated this base of gullible folks who now have bought Trump's con man routine hook, line, and sinker.

If they oppose Trump, they are branded RINOs and run out of the party.

Not one Republican, not even a mother will stand up against Trump and Stephen Miller.
