Nanny state !

How shocking that it’s liberals wanting to control what people drink .

Enough with this nonsense ! This is the type of legislation these idiots come up with when they aren’t trying to impeach Trump based on nothing .

Makes you wonder what is next with them.

Under a bill advancing in the Capitol, restaurants could offer only water or milk with meals marketed for children. Not soda. Not juice. Not chocolate milk.

Those sugary drinks would still be available, at no extra cost, but only upon request. They couldn’t be advertised alongside kids’ meals or offered as a default option. If the bill becomes law, cashiers would ask customers ordering a Happy Meal at McDonald’s, for instance, if they want water, milk or a non-dairy substitute like almond milk. California would become the first state in the nation with such a requirement.

Because you are controlling does not make you a "liberal". Anti-abortion legislation is controlling also.

I take offense to this post. We can multi task. This is what we do while continuing to try and impeach Trump.

Also, sounds like a fantastic policy. If kids don't see the unhealthy substitutes, it'll make it easier for parents to get them a healthy option without the kids causing a scene.

Bravo California, Bravo.
Looking out for our future when the Administration in DC can't see past their lying noses.

This will be the norm once the state officially takes control of health care. Instead of being called restaurants they will called govt food centers.

Ok so then what is the point of the law ?

It’s a law based on deception. Shows the sneaky mentality of liberals .

They’ve also done stuff like this with regulating the size of sodas .
Amazing this is what the politicians are working on especially with all the problems in California .
