The GOP has updated their filing to limit ending pre-existing coverage to red states. Now if we can keep red state refugees from running to blue states if they get sick.
"If a federal court agrees with the Department of Justice's argument that the Affordable Care Act's rules around pre-existing medical conditions are no longer constitutional, then the Republican states pursuing the lawsuit only want those rules lifted in their states..."
Thats the problem. The red state refugees issue. As long as we have free movement of people, its very hard for any state to do something very different than other states and open yourself up for masses of people fleeing the callous and brutal states that stick it to the sick, disabled, poor and vulnerable.

It's probably the biggest problem. A blue state could come up with great basic health coverage for their state based on averages and the lifestyle of people living in that state, only to be pummeled by red state refugees playing the system. We should be able to prevent that from happening by implementing a lengthy qualification time period so it's not a realistic option.

They come to get the health care, and go back home to complain about us "commies/socialists".

I think it should be wherever someone spent the majority of the last 10 years.
Wait, let me get this straight: leftists are upset that the GOP is seeking judicial restraint and not seeking a blanket ruling/nationwide injunction that would apply even in those states that fervently disagree before the Supreme Court has had a chance to weigh in?? What a mess!
Note, while I believe that there are appropriate times to seek nationwide injunctions at the district court level, such a tool has been used far too frequently as of late. Thus, its refreshing to see a change.
