Clearly he was using the word as context, and he didn't mean any racist intent by it, BUT, in this hyper sensitive day and age of ours, he should have known darned well NEVER to use that word. Doesn't matter the intent or whatever, you just do NOT use that if you want to be safe.

Just the way things go these days and people should know better.

The founder and chairman of the pizza chain Papa John’s, John Schnatter, found himself in hot water after using the N-word during a conference call in May.

Schnatter made the comment during a call between Papa John’s executives and marketing agency Laundry Service, Forbes reported early Wednesday, citing a “source with knowledge of the event.”

I don't think he was intending to use the word in a racist way. But, you have to be a damn fool to user it in a corporate setting on a conference call. That being said is it stupidity?.

"50 years ago people used derogatory names and I can't even complain about people protesting the unnecessary killings of others that ends up costing me money"?

Even said differently it doesn't go over well.

Let's see how far the SJWs go on this one. Wonder if he'll have a pot to p-iss in after the dust settles.

I stopped buying from Papa John and threw out a gift card when it was declared the pizza of the alt right and KKK, so this doesn't surprise me. I already boycott them, so I'll just continue to do so.

This might come as a surprise to you, but bad people and people with different opinions have to eat, and there are bound to be some that do it in every place you do as well. You should probably consider a boycott of food just to be safe.

I've heard conflicting stories about this guy, and I am not sure what to believe.

It really doesn't matter. He could walk on water and his pizza would still suck, so I guess it's sort of a non-issue for me.

I think the point was that they are no longer going to patronize a corporation that caters to those groups. Not that it serves them.
