Idk here in Arizona we have tons and tons of homeless folks. I think it has more to do with the weather than politics frankly.

Illegal immigration takes many of the jobs that the homeless would do; it also drives down wages. It boils down to more mouths to feed out of the same kettle. Create realistic laws to deal with the illegal immigration and see if the problems subside.

Absolute nonsense.

Homeless people are usually mentally ill and not adept to doing that work. The guy yelling and screaming at the sky on the street corner is not going to be trenching homes, or picking lettuce.

Beyond that Arizona's economy is full of low skill low paying jobs not taken by immigrants and unemployment is low.

I am not sure their flushes work all that well.

Illegal immigrants come here to work or receive government charity (health, education, food, lodging, etc.). What they take others do not enjoy; it brings down our standards. It is also unfair to all the immigrants that enter legally. But as far as you 'mentally ill and not adept to doing work'; illegal immigration takes the funds that can go into lodging, feeding and treating our own people that do need help!

I don't think you're understanding. Arizona, like California, has nice weather and attracts a lot of homeless people. Many of these homeless people are crazy or would otherwise not be working and will not be working. Arizona, like California, has a lot of services available to homeless people (in Arizona, the grouphome and social service industry is enormous and growing), but many do not want the help.
With that said, both Arizona and California (and several other states) have large homeless populations. One is a red state, the other is a blue state. The insinuation that blue politics is causing the homlessness in California is in accurate. I'm sure the generous benefits help, but logic says simply, if I live outside, and plan to do so for the foreseeable future, it's going to be in a place with nice weather.

Given that Arizona has some of the strictist and lowest paying welfare benefits in the nation, I don't see how what you're saying applies. It also shows the problem with immigration policy in the US. People in middle America think they understand how the border works better than people on the border.

The conservation of matter concept must elude you.

You only "solved" your problem by dumping it onto places like San Francisco.

Unless you're suggesting that San Francisco dumps them right back into the red states whence they came?

What you say is true . . . but only if the "matter" is "conserved." In other words, if the bums always stay bums. If they find someplace that's welcoming to them and caters to their needs and puts no demands on them at all -- you know, someplace like San Francisco -- there's really no incentive for them to clean up their act. But if it sank in that they were welcome nowhere, and their misbehavior would be tolerated nowhere, maybe some of them could be persuaded to turn their lives around.

I'll grant the possibility that I'm being unreasonably optimistic. Now, will San Francisco admit that their way isn't working either?

Have you ever been there? There are very few toilets for public use. And before you joke about Starbucks, remember that the Starbucks thing was relatively very recent.
