I fail to see how this has anything to do with Trump's behavior over the last two years in relation to Russia.

Are you suggesting that HRC would have disregarded the data-backed conclusions of the entire US intelligence community and sided with Putin?

Are you suggesting that HRC would have chosen to not enact sanctions against Russia for its actions in 2016?

And in case it is not clear, this are serious questions. What are you actually trying to say here? Be very explicit, please.

Obama around the same time:

Quote:
To begin with, let me be clear: America wants a strong, peaceful, and prosperous Russia. This belief is rooted in our respect for the Russian people, and a shared history between our nations that goes beyond competition. Despite our past rivalry, our people were allies in the greatest struggle of the last century. Recently, I noted this when I was in Normandy -- for just as men from Boston and Birmingham risked all that they had to storm those beaches and scale those cliffs, Soviet soldiers from places like Kazan and Kiev endured unimaginable hardships to repeal -- to repel an invasion, and turn the tide in the east. As President John Kennedy said, "No nation in history of battle ever suffered more than the Soviet Union in the Second World War."
Quote:
There is the 20th century view that the United States and Russia are destined to be antagonists, and that a strong Russia or a strong America can only assert themselves in opposition to one another. And there is a 19th century view that we are destined to vie for spheres of influence, and that great powers must forge competing blocs to balance one another.

These assumptions are wrong. In 2009, a great power does not show strength by dominating or demonizing other countries. The days when empires could treat sovereign states as pieces on a chess board are over.

Good God, people.....this is not complicated.

Of course we WANT (in theory) Russia to be peaceful and prosperous. But they are not being peaceful currently. So we should not let them off the hook. Nor should we reward them while seeking to punish the rest of the (peaceful) world.

Ah, let them have their minute of thinking this means something. It has been a really tough week for our Trump loving friends on here. It must have been devastating to see him fold and embarrass the country on his first major outing.

I just wish Obama had been at the meeting instead of Trump. Ol' Obama wouldn't have taken no crap from no Rooskie! He'd have drawn lines in the sand, given speeches, warned Russia about some really serious sanctions and beech slapped Putin all over the room! By God, Obama would have showed them. Just ask them Syrians what happened when they crossed him.

Or maybe Hillary! She may have misspelled "reset" in Russian, but she still has that button somewhere. She woulda whipped it out, pushed it and made Putin just sit back and start over. "You quit your meddling right now!", she would scream. "And if you don't, our uranium deal is done! OVER!!"

Oh, yeah. That's what I wish.

Let's be fair about this. Russia has hacked and meddled in US affairs for oh...70 years.

You do realize that they stole the atomic bomb from us correct?

Let that one sink in lol.

Oh and THEN let it sink in that we promised to split Germany and rocketry etc.....and then didn't LMAO.

We both planned the double cross all along after Germany got taken out.

Then let's see....we deposed Irans elected ruler...meddled throughout south America...

Lately we destabilized Syria, Lybia, Iraq...all while being cyber attacked most heavily by China with Russia a very distant second lol.

In short, I think it's sad to see the outrage of the American people for Russian meddling considering the most effective thing they did was to just release truthful emails. (I still would have taken HIllary over Turmp). In light of what we not only have done recently but CONTINUE to do so....it's a hugely hypocritical or grossly ignorant stance.
