The GOP establishment is heavily #NeverTrump. Honestly, Trump won because he won over moderates. Trump ain't a real Republican. The Republican Party is reinventing itself in accordance with and opposition to Donald Trump. And Donald Trump was a Blue Dog Business Democrat his whole life. He switched to Republican but he's still a Blue Dog at heart, while going along with GOP wedge issues. Traditional Conservatives and Neoconservatives seriously hate Mr Trump. See Exhibit A: George W Bush hasn't got anything good and lots of bad to say about President Trump.

So would a judge who was put in place by George W Bush be a huge Trump fan? Probably not.

Not surprising. I've known a lot of lawyers and the great majority of them believe deeply in our justice system and they are never going to kowtow to the Administration of the day. Mueller is going to complete his work and when he is done there will be absolutely no doubt about the conclusions, regardless of the outcome. It's amazing to me that anyone would NOT want this outcome regardless of whether they think the Trump campaign is dirty, or not.
