Hackers are attacking everyone and they can even copy the "fingerprints" on a hack making it look like it came from somewhere else. The US has it's own hackers that hack into other gov't's sites - as much as I don't like it - it's fair play - or is the US the only one who's allowed to hack?

I don't give a good-god-diddly-damn from whence the threat comes, we need to secure the effing grid now, and worry about the "who" once we've done so.

Do you not agree?

It would be Hillary or DWS who turned off the lights during a Bernie speech. they rigged the primary election. Used shill primary candidates to make it look like Hillary 'fought' for her right to run. Given debate questions in advance.

Hey, what did Obama and Hillary do that the Russians weren't trying to do.

It makes it okay if the democrats muck with the election. No outcry there.

All the Russian interference outrage seems like a territorial dispute between Russia and the dems to alter the outcome of the elections. Which one has the 'right' to alter election outcome?

Russia, NK, china, iran, et al have been trying to hack our grid for years. As have we been trying to hack theirs. Obama let his pal putin play with government databases and Hillary even gave the Russians et al easy access to national security secrets.

So who loves you Russia??? Obama and Hillary.

If it was that vulnerable, I think we would have seen a major attack or shutdown by now. Shutting off the power is probably the most effective, long term type of attack, its not something the nation could rebound from easily, Once the power is out for about 5-7 days, society would crumble to the point of no return very quickly.

BUT IT'S ALL Trump's FAULT! There have been stories about this vulnerability for well over a decade but only NOW some people's hair is on fire?

Yep it's now confirmed, it's only an issue when someone you don't like is in office...

WASHINGTON -- Cyberspies have penetrated the U.S. electrical grid and left behind software programs that could be used to disrupt the system, according to current and former national-security officials.
The spies came from China, Russia and other countries, these officials said, and were believed to be on a mission to navigate the U.S. electrical system and its controls. The intruders haven't sought to damage the power grid or other key infrastructure, but officials warned they could try during a crisis or war.

Been saying for years, far before Trump was in office how delicate our power grid is. And how devastating it would be for a country wide power outage of long duration.
