Our European allies live close to Russia and know what a bad actor Putin has been and will continue to be. Accordingly, their intel services keep close tabs on Russian espionage. Since 2015, a number of those agencies were picking up suspicious contacts between the tRump people and Putin. Knowing the importance of that info, they willingly shared it with us.

The result?

GCHQ first became aware in late 2015 of suspicious “interactions” between figures connected to Trump and known or suspected Russian agents, a source close to UK intelligence said. This intelligence was passed to the US as part of a routine exchange of information, they added.
Over the next six months, until summer 2016, a number of western agencies shared further information on contacts between Trump’s inner circle and Russians, sources said.

The European countries that passed on electronic intelligence – known as sigint – included Germany, Estonia and Poland. Australia, a member of the “Five Eyes” spying alliance that also includes the US, UK, Canada and New Zealand, also relayed material, one source said.

Another source suggested the Dutch and the French spy agency, the General Directorate for External Security or DGSE, were contributors.

Some folks have expressed surprise and concern over tRump's belligerent attitude towards our oldest and closest allies.

This should make it clear why he's so anti-NATO.

He's on Russia's side in this. NATO is his adversary.

My definition of an ally is very important to me
It is someone protecting my back who is sharing responsibilities
It is a relationship
A snake eating a frog is not having a relationship

You have to admit, that's quite a list of our allies.

And they know that tRump and Putin have been conspiring for three years now.

No, not now.

tRump announced his campaign in June 2015.

Don't take my word for it.

Look it up, chuck.

An ally who doesn’t pull their own weight after half a century of false promises but expect us for their rescue is not an ally that we should be nice to.
