A woman who applied for a customer service position at a Chesterfield clinic that treats men with low testosterone said she was denied a job because of her “ghetto” name. But the company, Mantality Health, is adamant that it was hacked, and would never treat an applicant that way.
By the way, thought I'd drop this study from a few years ago:
Students with stereotypically “black”-sounding names tend to be labeled as troublemakers by teachers. Job applicants with such names are less likely than their white-sounding counterparts to get called in for interviews. When residents with “black”-sounding names contact their local government for information about schools or libraries, they are less likely to receive a response.
And? Their company their rules. I couldn't care less.I have been denied a job because I was the ONLY white guy to apply...person testing me was black,2 other drivers were black, secretary was black....I realized I wasn't going to get job for one simple reason so found a different job.
In this case no one seems to doubt that it was a former employee who accessed the system and sent out a lot of offensive to emails to a lot of people including this job applicant.

Mantality... lol.
Sounds like something one would see on late night tv ads, sandwiched between the ads for singles and hair growth. Sure does look like they don't have room to talk in the name game.
