sorry about the paywall. no 'roseanne' treatment for this guy, he'll probably get a raise..

After watching a video of President Trump's supporters yelling, cursing and flipping their middle fingers at the media during a rally in Tampa this week, a Politico reporter weighed in, unleashing no-holds-barred tweets that described the screaming crowd as toothless “garbage people.”

The tweets from Marc Caputo, who covers Florida politics for Politico, fueled criticism from conservatives, who said his mockery of the president's supporters validates their hatred of the media. The following day, Caputo deleted his tweets and apologized, saying he should not have stirred further anger and division in an already deeply polarized political landscape.

The guy apologizes for his mistake describing Trump's base dental health. How is this a big deal?

Well now, we all can't be as lovely and high class as this leftist beauty.
Leftists supporters have bad dental and horrific mental.

It's the MO of the left to paint Trump supporters as old, dumb, racists etc. They always accuse the conservatives of what they themselves are guilty of.

I read his apology tweets. It's the first time in a very long time that I've read an apology that actually sounded like an apology. His first tweets revealed his TDS and hatred towards Trump supporters, and it's clear that he was emotional when he tweeted what he did. He probably got some kind of backlash at his job for it....who knows how much, however, since some of these publications have no shame in their TDS.

Nonetheless, it sounds like a genuine apology. He owned it, he didn't blame anyone else, he didn't make excuses, and he verified that he understood why what he did was wrong. While I don't think we should forget, I do think he should be left alone now.

No apology needed and I would I hope the reporter along with everyone else that would make such comments keep up the good work. People like him are one of the reasons Trump is sitting in office.

He apologized like this "he should not have stirred further anger and division in an already deeply polarized political landscape"

Ahhhh and who exactly is stirring the pot of anger and divisive stew on a daily basis?

It sure "ain't" the "garbage people", freedom cherishing, President respecting toothless wonders that Love America and will fight to protect it.
