The US justice system is EXTREMELY racist, the drug laws are a great example, when they were first created, it was a tool used to control certain minorities and where they spent time in the city, it had absolutely nothing to do with protecting anyones health or safety.

The data indicates the large disparity for arrests and convictions of blacks for minor drug offenses, you have to wonder why such a small percentage of white people were convicted. The only conclusion you can arrive at is that white people rarely smoke marijuana.
