Looks like socialist agendas are alive and well in New York.

Sierra Vista, AZ $1,000 property tax

Levittown, NY $10,136 property tax.

Amazing, how a regular single-family home has 10 times higher taxes in one area than another.

It didn't take me long to figure out how completely ridiculous this thread is. Sierra Vista is in the middle of nowhere, about 20 miles or so north of the Mexican border. OP really seems to love these absurd comparisons.

I hear the taxes are also really low in the Mohave Deser area.

Sierra Vista despite being close to the border has a median household income of $56,000 so it is not a poor city by any stretch of the imagination.

Also, it has rock-bottom violent crime rates so obviously the residents have excellent public safety for the very low taxes.

Many liberal cities are just raising taxes and throwing money at everything and anything and they could care less about results.

There would be no taxes on a similar sized house in the Feghana Valley in Kyrgyzstan.

Of course, there would also be no running water, toilet, or economy either.

The middle of nowhere, where you can live your life on your terms, depend on neighbors, not have to deal w/ scum bags hitting you up for cash, not have to cough up 40% of your life to empower the "underprivileged" and failed social programs.
A progressive tax system can do this for you and you don't even have to vote for it, just move to NY, the worst state to retire in by several polls.

I guess you don't want to live on Long Island.

I know I don't want to. I know people that like it there though.

Costs money to send illegal kids to school. Even more when those districts live 15-20 people in a house.
