Nathan's at least makes a good product I'll continue to buy as I've done for years. And I still think their July 4th hot dog eating contest is disgusting as I have for years.
the original family sold the business to corporate investors in 1987. there's a documentary currently on nextflix or amazon prime about nathan handwerker and the biz ( directed by his grandson ). great story about a penniless immigrant done good.
Nathan's will now fall like Papa Johns. Boycotts are starting
Last year, Trump described Lorber as one of his two best friends. In 1996, Trump and Lorber traveled to Moscow together to explore business opportunities.
I get boycotts for legitimate reasons, but why boycott a business just because they support one candidate or another.
Granted if the person starts making ignorant comments about the opponent or the other parties voters, then it is fair game. However just because they prefer the agenda of a (D) or (R) over the other is hardly a reason to try to cause harm to the persons business.
As to the Moscow rubbish, did you have objections over the 8 years when companies looked at Russia as a possible place to expand?
Even though I'm an avid anti-Trumper and against most conservative ideology, I never let politics get in the way of good food. They sell Nathan's hot dogs here in stores and we love them. Same with Chic fil A. They can be as homophobic as they want to be, I'll always eat their chicken sandwiches.
