The taxes were filed under the ID theft victim's name. The SSA and the IRS don't communicate with one another. Right now several people could be using your SSN but the the SSA won't tell you. You only find out when the IRS comes after you about not filing taxes on a job you never worked.
That's true, and I don't get that. Why isn't the Fed Gov required to tell you your identity has been stolen and is being used by one or more other people?

Total B.S. lies made to cover for the real issue. Anyone can get their copy of S.S. paid into the system and check for themselves. If there was so many people doing this it would be front page news all the time.
The IRS keeps a secret list for each user of the same SSN. You may not ever know your SSN has been stolen and used by others.

Only if the employer refuses to use E-Verify which is what this farm owner did.
Nope. That 54% failure to identify illegal workers rate is of those actually vetted with e-verify.

A unique biometric identifier such as fingerprints, retinal scan, etc., would be required from every US citizen, LPR, and authorized temporary non-citizen worker to make e-verify work as well as it was intended to. E-verify has no such database.
The statistics in the above chart report E-Verify case processing results through Fiscal Year Q1 2018 (October 2017 – December 2017). All figures are expressed as a percentage of the total number of cases submitted and percentages are rounded. Total E-Verify Cases: 8,793,734. Cases Not Found Work Authorized: 80,367.
Most employees are automatically confirmed as work authorized.
98.95 percent of employees are automatically confirmed as authorized to work ("work authorized") either instantly or within 24 hours, requiring no employee or employer action
1.05 percent of employees receive initial system mismatches.
Of the 1.05% of employees who receive initial system mismatches:
0.13 percent are later confirmed as work authorized after contesting and resolving the mismatch.
0.91 percent are not found work authorized.
Of the 0.91% of employees not found to be work authorized:
0.62 percent do not contest the mismatch either because they do not choose to or are unaware of the opportunity to contest and as a result are not found work authorized.
0.01 percent contest the mismatch and are not found work authorized.
0.29 percent are unresolved either because the employer closed the case as "self-terminated" or because the case was awaiting further action by either the employer or employee at the end of FY18 Q1.
Perhaps when they see it in their pocketbook they will get it. Try paying thousands in property taxes for schools your own children can't even attend anymore, not to mention the thousands for the county hospitals for them to give birth in. Volunteer to give a lift to a crying widowed mom. Sit in the waiting room and not hear one word of English. Sit there and think about all the homeless citizens we could be helping. Escape to your mountain cabin, only to have an illegal burn down the forest. Or, remember your legal Hispanic bank teller who was killed by an illegal wrong way driver. I could go on and on.
In these small white and formerly white American farming communities, there can't be a lot of job opportunities but the ones that there are the businesses fill the positions with illegals. So the white and other citizens go without or leave their homeplace. If you stay you have to put up with the incompatibility and unpleasantry of foreigners and sometimes crime like this while they take opportunities away from the community. Talk about sticking it to the citizens. The trafficking of foreigners and illegals into the community is a similar situation to the slave trade. Except slavery wasn't as lucrative as employing the illegals and slaves weren't being as subsidized by tax payers and in a position to chase down and violently murder citizens or annoy them in every other way under the sun.
I did. I posted them. Read my prior post. E-verify has a 54% failure rate in identifying illegal workers. Why? With a grossly insufficient unique biometric identifier database, it cannot detect identity fraud/theft.
