You're just throwing out assumptions with no basis in reality, let's wait to find out if he indeed did pass e-verify and if he did, we'll find out how and with what stolen or fake documents. I've used E-verify a few times myself and I agree that it's not easy to get around but let's not act like it never happens.
What makes you think "we" will find out anything? Most stuff stays hidden and there is absolutely no reason why you'd ever know about it.

As for guns, you can make all the laws you want but criminals are criminals (look at Chicago). We need to support making it harder to get in the country illegally and to get guns. In the end people should be able to defend themselves against criminals.
