The last time we had a trashy birther as a First Lady the President was Bill Clinton.
A lot of people conveniently ignore or never knew the "birther movement" started from Hillary's campaign.
[For that matter plenty pretend this whole Russia nonsense didn't start with her as a deflection from DNC emails exposing some pretty damaging stuff]
While I do not recall her uttering the birther charges herself, one of her top campaign officials was doing op research, and started spreading the rumor.
Regardless, it is sad that CNN and other propaganda arms of the Democrats and "resistance" want to go after a 1st Lady, who is pretty tame by some recent standards.

The birther thing did not start within the Hillary campaign. That's swapping one discredited claim for another.
According to this, a serial fringe candidate in Illinois started it in 2004 when Obama was a Senator.
Anyone who has read my previous posts on the subject of Melania knows I always said nice things about her, because part of me feels sorry for the life she is trapped in, and also , she seems like a good mother, and that means a lot to me. However, my opinion has changed a little over time because I have seen some disturbing things she has done.
So, now, instead of me thinking she got sucked into this marriage and is a poor, helpless victim, I wonder if she is any different than the rest of the clan...….Ivanka, Jerrod, Don Jr, etc. ? I hope I am wrong, and she is just hanging in there because he has her tied up in a prenup and she wants to see Barron get older before he dumps her (and he WILL dump her).
