You cannot indict a sitting president. Trump will first need to be impeached and removed from office, before he can be indicted.

What Mueller will do is write a report saying there is credible evidence of a crime committed by Trump and he will pass the buck to congress so to speak. Some Democrat in the house will push forward articles of impeachment.

From here, where it goes is dependent on the balance of the house so I'm guessing this will all begin sometime in 2019 - especially if Democrats retake control of the house.

If Trump is impeached he will go to the Senate for a trial. So again the balance of the Senate which will result from the 2018 midterm elections is important. Granted, the constitution requires 2/3s of senators to agree. Unless a lot of Republicans flip, Trump won't be removed from office.

If he's removed from office, only then could you indict.

Another scenario is you could wait for the 2020 elections and if he loses the election, you could indict then (unless statue of limitations has expired).

Hold a press conference, list his alleged violations of the law, but claim that no reasonable prosecutor would bring such a case.

When was President Trump "implicated" in a crime?

We can see by the "Mueller witch hunt" that isn't going to happen. The Democrats will never allow it. If they wanted that, Hillary would already have been indicted.

Unless your name is "Clinton," it would seem.

Exactly!

Payment's made to these women were not a crime. But the women are guilty of extortion.

Trump hasn't anything approaching as bad as Obama did....Obama actually did collude with Putin ("after this election business, I can do more for you such as give you our uranium in exchange for a payout to the Clintons") he thought off sound.

To answer your query, Republicans aren't going to consider anything.

NOTHING will be done. They are all afraid. They don’t want to be the subject of any of Trumps tweets.
