Of course PETA would never jump a shark because if they didn't make it they might land on and hurt the shark... but this is crazy.

We all know that PETA was successful after decades of protests in forcing circuses to stop using elephants which eventually caused the 146 year tradition of the Ringling Brothers Circus to end. PETA claimed the circus caused "egregious cruelty" to the animals.

Now they have successfully suggested that Nabisco redesign the package of animal crackers to take the animals out of the cages because they believe that animals, even cartoon ones should never be caged.

The heads at Nabisco seemed to be OK with this but one would think that PETA has bigger fish to fry.. do they actually eat fish since eating them means killing them? I wonder.. Still there are many animals in the world that are really suffering and dying terrible deaths and the focus is on setting free the animals on the box of animal crackers?

Did anyone stop to consider that the Lion on the box will kill and eat the Zebra when no one is looking?

The cages actually protected the animals but oh well.

I think we should all consider where and how our donations are being spent when given to groups like PETA.

Why the hell would you give money to PETA? There's a lot of better choices out there, even within the animal welfare realm.

The new box is a massive improvement. It looks a LOT better. I bet their sales increase due to the new box.

Here's the before and after.

Might just be more concerned where nabisco products are made these days. They have shipped some production to Mexico. Probably employing illegal aliens at thier remaining USA production sites.

Probably sneaking drugs into the crackers - getting crackers addicted......and thereby selling more Mexican products of every sort.

The Russian-Balkan performing bears are the most crueled animals on earth.

Their place is to make the humans there feel more privileged.

If you actually research what PETA has done and continues to do, you will find they "jumped the shark" a long time ago.
