He's absolutely right. Now is the time for journalists to stand up, assert their right to gather and report the news, maintain checks and balances on government, and keep a firm fist at the throat of anyone threatening their ability to do so.

Sounds like 59 editorial boards were smart enough to predict what a train wreck a Trump presidency would become.

Look, dude, you obviously don't understand journalism or the news business. You don't know the difference between reporting facts and stating an opinion. And you get your news from Breitbart. 'nuff said.

I have a love-hate relationship with Tapper but he is turning a blind eye to a lot of fake news that is not only out there but is happening right under his nose at CNN. The evidence is there. That's not to say all news is fake and there aren't credible journalists doing amazing work. There used to be ethical standards in which reporters lived by. Those ethics were stretched until they broke and was cast aside with the advent of the 24-hour news cycle.

Jake Tapper has always been a Democrat - nothing wrong with that, most Media folks are Left.

He actually used to be a decent "Journalist", with several good investigative books to his credit.
That was a long time ago.

Now he is reduced to giving speeches to the American Society of Travel Agents convention and calling the President of the United States a "racist" ...... because the Presumptive Queen didn't get her crown.

His Network is in the dumper and sinking more daily. Tapper has something to do with that as he is the Political Director. CNN must be happy with that position and they Double Down on it daily.
