Here is the point I was making for those who are unable to detect a point made in a satirical manner...
Person A utters some word that someone, somewhere decides to interpret as a racist reference. Two examples:
"Monkeying" is uttered by a politician. Immediately, some liberal smartass in a newsroom somewhere randomly decides that "monkeying" is a racist stab.
"Fudge" is uttered by Trump. I, in lockstep with above referenced liberal smartass, have randomly decided, in my infinite wisdom that "fudge" is a racist stab.
Now, you tell me, what is the difference? When we have anyone deciding anything uttered is racist, what we get is a bunch of muted people who are unable to even use the language for fear of uttering a word that someone, somewhere is going to declare racist.
What does that have to do with Trump lying about his interview with Holt? Nothing.

I'm probably just entertained by people going so GaGa from mere Kool-Aid, usually takes me a fair amount of Irish Whiskey to leave reality that far behind.

Um.... the issue is not the word "fudge", the issue is Trump saying they edited the tape

trump tweeted that Lester had already been CAUGHT fudging the tape and that after Lester was caught fudging the tape that NBC was hurt badly by the revelation.
This is pure fiction.
Anyone claiming that what trump said is true, please cite WHO caught Lester; what the fudging was (erasing, dubbing???) and where you found this revelation that trump is talking about.
The only people who are talking about the words being racist is you and that Chris dude. NO ONE else.
That is NOT the subject of this thread.

It didn't occur to me that someone could misconstrue my post. I've heard the term "fudge" many times. Like fudging one's taxes or expense reports. It's almost as if they are deflecting the subject of the thread on purpose.

Only if it comes out of a racist's mouth, when he's talking about an opponent of a different race.
"Fudged", as Trump used it, is not racist, but it is decidedly a desperate statement by someone who is trying to deny he said something that he is on tape saying. A truly desperate statement. Trump is terrified, because he can smell himself starting to toast, and he knows whichever way he runs isn't going to be any cooler.

I think Chris read the headline, assumed the topic, and posted posthaste.
Personally, I'm more offended that Burdell is mixing good Irish Whiskey with Kool Aid.
