I guess cutting aid to the Palestinians is phase 2 in the Trump peace plan. Pompeo and the state department were overruled by Kushner, hard to believe that the opinion of the presidents son-in-law takes precedence over those with foreign affairs experience. They are attempting to use their leverage by withholding funds to refugee camps to get the Palestinians to remove their claim to Israeli occupied lands.

Quote:
The State Department announced the funding cut on Friday afternoon, after it had already been confirmed by a former senior official at the United States Agency for International Development who had spoken to journalists.
“The United States will no longer commit further funding to this irredeemably flawed operation,” Heather Nauert, the chief State Department spokeswoman, said in a written statement.
The move was pushed by Jared Kushner, President Trump’s son-in-law and top adviser on the Middle East, as part of a plan to compel Palestinian politicians to drop demands for most of the refugees to return to what they call their homeland.

Who denounced this...

Hanan Ashrawi, a member of the executive committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, said the cuts could destabilize refugee camps not only in the West Bank and Gaza, but also in Jordan and Lebanon.

...
R. Nicholas Burns, a Harvard Kennedy School professor and a former senior United States diplomat who has worked on the Palestinian issue, called the change “heartless and unwise” and a reflection of “the most one-sided U.S. policy since 1948,” when Harry S. Truman recognized the newly established state of Israel.

...
Chris Gunness, a spokesman for the United Nations agency, said: “We reject in the strongest possible terms the criticism that Unrwa’s schools, health centers, and emergency assistance programs are ‘irredeemably flawed.’ These very programs have a proven track record in creating one of the most successful human development processes and results in the Middle East.”

So the PLO, the UN, and an Ivy League professor is denouncing this.

This is un-surprising.

We shouldn't be giving them aid anyway. Let the Arabs who have fleeced us on oil prices give the Palestinians aid.

You left out the US State Department and Mike Pompeo. Anyone that believes that cutting funds and destabilizing Palestine will result in peace is a novice, tell me what Kushner's background is that makes him an expert in the middle east.

By definition, over 90% of these so-called "refugees" are NOT refugees. The definition of a refugee is "a person who has left an area in order to escape war, persecution, or natural disaster".
The great majority of so-called "Palestinian refugees" never set foot in so-called "Palestine". They were born in Lebanon and other places. They never left "Palestine" so they can't possibly be a "Palestinian refugee". They should be citizens of their native country. Many of them are already Jordanian citizens.

LET THEM OUT OF THEIR CAGES!

Nothing make me an expert, that is why I rely on people who have education and experience like Pompeo, Burns and experts at the state department and UN. I don't think someone who's life experience was managing real estate should be making decisions in the ME anymore than someone who trained horses should be in charge of FEMA. Just because he is the presidents son-in-law doesn't make him an expert on anything.

Trump claimed after he moved the embassy to Jerusalem that we were going to have a peace plan, is this it.

Cut all the aid and treat them like they treat Israel. Drive them into the sea.
