Probably not a big deal for most of you, but it's interesting to me - but this is on the continuing theme of liberals elites accusing people of doing things that they actually do themselves.
Most of aware of the Fusion GPS story of Trump in the hotel, with prostitutes, and the "golden showers".
I came across this article, with an inconsequential reference to Obama State Dept. employees.
The questions from men about being a spy are “Mostly for flirting,” said one thirty-something Russian woman on the D.C. dating scene. “At least I treat it this way.”
Of course, the prospect of Russian agents using sex as a weapon of statecraft is a real one. Former counterintelligence officials say Russians are particularly fond of the honey trap, the use of attractive young people, usually women, to compromise or gain influence over intelligence targets, usually older men. Prosecutors allege that Butina, for example, used a romantic relationship with Paul Erickson, a 56-year-old Republican operative, to further her aims as she sought access to conservative political networks such as the National Rifle Association and the annual CPAC conference (Butina’s lawyer claims the two were genuinely in love).
Not every use of the honey trap fits that stereotype. One former top counterintelligence official described his consternation at the recklessness of State Department officials of both sexes during the Obama years who indulged in sexual favors from in-room masseurs during their stays at the Moscow Ritz, the same hotel made infamous by the Steele dossier’s unsubstantiated allegations about Donald Trump’s behavior in the presidential suite.
So when they created (IMO) this story about Trump, they probably referenced their own deviant experiences in making up the narrative.

You do know that there is no investigation into this whole conspiracy loony tune because it's completely and utterly debunked, right?
Apparently, you are somewhat new to Politics. Remember when GW gave joy rides in nuclear subs and killed a bunch of people? Well, that was just the tip of the partying that the government did once the GOP had the reigns.
This one was particularly famous - because it showed how Republican "care" about the environment.....
"found wrongdoing by a dozen current and former employees of the Minerals Management Service, which collects about $10 billion in royalties annually and is one of the government’s largest sources of revenue other than taxes.
“A culture of ethical failure” pervades the agency, Mr. Devaney wrote in a cover memo."
"a dysfunctional organization that has been riddled with conflicts of interest, unprofessional behavior and a free-for-all atmosphere for much of the Bush administration’s watch"
It's so clear one wonders how some people don't get it...party on while Rome burns because GW allowed it.
gifts from energy companies whose value exceeded limits set by ethics rules — including golf, ski and paintball outings; meals and drinks; and tickets to a Toby Keith concert, a Houston Texans football game and a Colorado Rockies baseball game.
The investigation also concluded that several of the officials “frequently consumed alcohol at industry functions, had used cocaine and marijuana, and had sexual relationships with oil and gas company representatives.”
Sex between industry insiders and the regulators! Wow.....
