It's not about that though. It's about the rights of two individuals to contract with one another without government involvement. Of course, the problem is once you start to venture into territory that is already heavily regulated you can run into problems like this. But honestly, it should be up to the consumer. And in the end, if he ever did anything wrong, he'd be liable. Perhaps instead of trying to fine him and take him to jail they should require him to carry workman's compensation and general liability insurances. If he could find a company to cover him. Either way, I understand where the OP is coming from with this. It may seem like a small issue, but that's how we lose our freedom and ability to engage in commerce. A little at a time.

Government is good at making rules. They do it 365 days a year. Vote for less government. That could always help.

Freedom of association, freedom of movement, freedom to form a consensual agreement...

Yeah, I'll gladly die on that hill.

100 to 1 he got caught / prosecuted because he didn't pay taxes. Over / under some one dropped a dime on him is 75/25.

When I read the title "grills" I thought who the hell would be making BBQ grills ? And how in the world would that even be profitable.

Then I remembered "grills" is also slang. So much dumb in this world.

Two parties form a consensual agreement but that ain't good enough for Daddy government. I wonder how they found out about his nefarious activity? Probably spied on him via his iPhone or a drone.

Keep voting and paying those taxes my friends. You never know if you have an Allen Turner in your neighborhood.
Florida is a very illogical state with very bizarre laws. Our legislature sucks--they never vote for anything involving common sense. There is a ton of conflicts of interest because there are no ethics rules. They would not even make texting while driving illegal--for years.

They finally made it a secondary offense. They would also not make the left hand interstate lane for passing. Therefore people drive like a-holes doing 50 in the passing lane while everyone tries to get around them. Cause of much road rage and accidents.

For years, South Fla has wanted casinos, but the Disney lobby has the legislature in its back pocket, and the religious residents of north Fla are allowed a say--so all business plans scrapped. It is absurd.
