And that woman should be brought up on charges of rioting, reckless endangerment, and parental abuse of minor children for participating in that illegal invasion of the border of another country. She belongs in jail.

And I love how fake news CNN chose that picture over and over, and left out the pictures of everyone else, most of whom were single male thugs. Typical!

No they are clearly in the riverbed north of the Mexican border in the "no-man's land" zone. There are two fences, one that is ours and one that is Mexico's. Please go to the location you think this is on google maps aerial, and post the link here. There is no point anywhere where the border is on the northern edge of the riverbed.

Believe me, back in Honduras and Guatemala, the message will circulate, and this invasive bull$hit will stop. And that might just force them to take a harder look at their Workers Socialist Paradises and consider market based Capitalism to,solve their problems.
Utter garbage. And if the Mexicans start lobbing tear gas back?

The US should simply set up a suitable holding facility. Load the caravan on buses and hold them until hearings are held. We are behaving like a banana republic not a leading nation.

Oh, please, please Mexico, lob some tear gas back. I really want to see the next step after that. But in reality, Mx feds are more likely to lob their own tear gas at the migrants themselves than at the U.S.

That holding facility is in Tijuana where it costs $40k per day. It would take months to build one here that meets the standards of our courts and would cost $400k per day.

oh, you mean sending them to ICE detention facility?

What if the migrants come with their family and small children? You can't hold minor in detention facility due to Flores Agreement (1997).

What are you going to do? Separate the children from their parents, or cut loose the migrants and their children into US and hoping they will show up to their immigration hearing? If they don't, then they will turn into another DACA v2 a few decades down the road?

We don’t need to hold them or feed them or bathe them. We need to keep them out. They have no business invading our country. They can apply for asylum online, but stay in their country until a determination is made. Invasion is not an option. Tear gas is.

Here is the thing, we are making this into a Chinese inspection where you leave goods sit for a period you know they'd spoil by and then wouldn't be allowed in. The problem with your idea is that people can seek asylum online. You have to/ be at a port of entry to file for asylum. Closing the border denies them this and you know it.

The problem with your understanding is that there is nearly an identical Refugee program for asylum seekers that allows you to apply outside the country. How do you think the Syrian refugees are applying? Hint: they didn't swim across the Atlantic.

And as it turns out, Mexico City is one of the locations designated as official locations that process refugee applications.

You can apply for citizenship online. We all know that the asylum claims are bull$hit. These people are looking to ride the gravy train. Apply for citizenship in your own country then wait your turn in your own country. If your life is in danger in Honduras, then apply for asylum in Guatemala or Nicaragua or Mexico. NOT HERE unless you meet merit requirements.
