I believe the "animal" comment by one single poster and was meant to be an analogy. If you leave food out on your doorstep animals will keep coming to feed unless you stop doing it. You do know what an analogy is, don't you? The same applies to the U.S. being weak on border security and enticing illegals, etc. to come here and live off the taxpayer and also take our jobs. We want e-verify to help stop the job seekers it has been stated over and over in here and you know it! So just stop with the dishonesty.

Why don't you present your suggestion to our government? We don't have the authority to tell them what course of action they should or have to take. Many of those seeking asylum are just bogus claims. Many if not most are coming to seek economic opportunity on the backs of the taxpayer. Only a small percentage of those in the past have had valid claims.

They were offered refuge in Mexico along with jobs but most refused so your remarks and your heartbreak are moot!
Yep. It was obvious, even a child would have gotten it.

All these lefty, liberals do is make excuses for these people be it those who enter our country illegally or those whom are mostly bogus asylum seekers. It's always somebody else's fault why they can't fix their own countries. Interesting isn't, it how they all flee here when there are some Hispanic countries south of our border that are safe and that have jobs for them and speak their language and have similar cultures. It's a tell all to me that they are only seeking out the U.S. for all the freebies they can get here and yes, it's our government's fault for attracting them with the stupid policies by many in our congress including greed, wanting to turn our country into a socialist country and pandering for votes all under the false narrative of compassion.

That's such a silly statement, it would be like me asking you how many Republican house members will you be willing to take into your home after they lose their seat on Tuesday?

Default President Trump just gave a 1 hour Policy Speech on Immigration & the Caravan - here's what it means.

Truth is -- we don't know YET what it means, but I do have some ideas.

I find it interesting that nobody else appears to know anything, so there are few articles.
What we do know is that it will involve an Executive Order, so we have to see that EO before the Hysterical Meltdown can commence and Normal People can discuss.

Trump executive order coming next week to restrict asylum requests |Washington Examiner - Nov 1, 2018

The Trump administration is preparing an executive order that could be ready by next week to require asylum seekers to present themselves as official ports of entry, President Trump said Thursday.

“Under this plan, the illegal aliens will no longer get a free pass into our country by lodging meritless claims in seeking asylum,†the president said while giving remarks on the "immigration crisis" at the White House.

"Instead, migrants seeking asylum will have to present themselves law fly at a port of entry, so they are going to have to lawfully present themselves at a port of entry," he added.

Two News Organizations - they heard the same speech I did. The Washington Examiner managed to find the Most Important Item in the President's speech. The Wall Street Journal missed the boat.

WSJ took a more partisan viewpoint and went off into the weeds about Immigration, while the "Ports of Entry" was clearly the most important part of the Speech. Maybe when the Executive Order is signed, they can all figure it out.

Trump Says U.S. Will Stop Releasing Apprehended Migrants Prior to Their Hearings - President says America’s asylum system for immigrants is being ‘gamed’ and tells migrant caravans to turn back|Wall Street Journal - Nov 1, 2018

WASHINGTON—President Trump said Thursday he wants to keep undocumented immigrants who are apprehended at the border in detention until their asylum or immigration cases are heard, rather than be released into the U.S. while awaiting their hearings.

“The endemic abuse of our asylum system makes a mockery of our immigration system—displacing legitimate asylum seekers—and there are legitimate asylum seekers,†Mr. Trump said in a White House address.

Anyone want to hazard a guess about why I (and the Examiner) think the Ports of Entry is the KEY item and what the EO might do?

I love his new stance of not releasing asylum seekers or immigrants crossing the border illegally into the public pending a court date.

I believe this will deter a lot of people exploiting the terrible policy of 'catch and release'. Fake asylum seekers probably wont even try knowing they will be held in tents till their court date.

That's funny that you mention that. You must have been watching the same interview as I did? When one of the potential illegal invaders was asked why he didn't seek asylum in Mexico? His answer was because he was looking to get on Medicaid when he got to the United States.

I don't have to tell you that only those who benefit from a Socialist society are our aristocratic overlords. Do you think for a minute that Bernie Sanders is willing to give up his net worth of approximately $2,000,000 and live on $25,000 or less a year? Or how about the Obama's whose net worth is some $40,000,000? Or the Clinton's who have a combined net worth of over $120,000,000? How about Pelosi who also has a net worth of $120,000,000? Or Diane Feinstein at $58,500,000? Then there's all of the Hollywood hypocrites and late night comedians? I wonder if they're all covered under Obamacare? Yeah, they're all compassionate alright. It's amazing that those who support them can't see them for their hypocrisy? Just think of what all of those combined incomes could do to help the poor and downtrodden?

I have no problem with people becoming wealthy. What I do have a problem with are wealthy people pushing socialism when they are not willing to put their own money where their mouths are and live the way they are advocating for the rest of us.

It closes one of the doors right now that is wide open allowing illegals to stay here and then disappear into American towns and cities. This should have been done a long time ago. It takes away much of the incentive illegals have thinking they will just be arrested, let go and then never show up for their court date.

Well, we already know the basics - that Trump is a bigoted, heartless hate-monger, and that he has an alarming tendency to spout things that are not only hateful, not only totally incorrect, but illegal.

And that's apart from the fact that much of the migration hysteria isn't really that crucial, and we'd do better spending that time focusing on the environment or our dubious relationships with the mid-east. If they really wanted to stop illegal migrants, all that needs to be done is to prosecute employers who hire them.

Seems like a lot of common sense to me. Thank God for Donald Trump
