I am a youth coach and have had 3 interviews by the local rag, all put into the paper. All were full of hype with few actual facts. It was a big disappointment and made me appear vain and shallow.
The people in that video are part of the problem, whether the media calls them a hate group or not. Screaming and cussing at your opponents is not the way to solve your problems. I cannot imagine they were there to do anything other than scream, heckle and cuss.
Until we can sit down and have meaningful dialog with each other, these videos will continue to surface and be absconded by the opposing side's media, posted on forums, etc.
By the way, the media you gravitate to does call Antifa a hate group, just not their side, their media calls the Proud Boys a hate group. Both sides's medias are right for sure.

I agree about what is meaningful dialog and what is not, but it's not a matter of waiting until we can sit down and be civil and mature with one another. Most of us can. What we must do is avoid this growing inclination to point at a video of people behaving badly and try to suggest this is representative of the whole, when clearly we all know better.
Forget what SOME people do or what SOME people might call these groups already named in this thread with obvious intent to subvert the real issues at hand. Why are most of the people supportive of these groups protesting in the first place? This is what all too many conservatives are loath to even consider, so what do they do? Looky there! Someone threw a bottle! Someone spat on someone! A bunch of nobodies really, but of course there are always the zealous conservatives who will insist on holding these people up as not only examples but leaders of all the peaceful people simply pointing at what is not altogether well in America, mostly for POC.
Meanwhile, somebody who actually is a leader, our POTUS Trump, is there front and center describing to the glee of his supporters how the guy who assaulted a reporter is "his guy."
"A crew of Fox News reporters witnessed the attack on the Guardian’s correspondent in Bozeman. According to their firsthand account, Gianforte grabbed Jacobs by the neck with both hands as the reporter was posing questions to him.
The crew wrote: “He then slammed [Jacobs] into the ground behind him. [We] watched in disbelief as Gianforte then began punching the reporter.”
Jacobs was taken by ambulance to a hospital and treated for an elbow injury.
Gianforte pleaded guilty to a charge of assault and was sentenced to four days in jail as a misdemeanor. The sentence was later changed to 40 hours of community service, a fine and a compulsory anger-management course."
