This is the second judge to rule in the Democrat's favor saying they do indeed have standing in a lawsuit against Trump.

"The case argues that the president has received foreign government favors, such as Chinese government trademarks for his companies, payments for hotel room stays and event-space rentals by representatives of Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, and proceeds from Chinese or Emirati-linked government purchases of office space in Trump Tower.

Ethics experts say the constitutional emoluments clause was created by the Founding Fathers to ensure that government officials act with the interests of the American public in mind instead of their own pocketbooks."

The ruling of one or two judges doesn't mean anything until it ends up in the SCOTUS.

It means a lot. It has to continue following the system to go in front of SCOTUS.

It's moving forward.

From Nov. 3:

"A lawsuit accusing President Trump of violating the constitution's emoluments clause can proceed, a federal judge said Friday. Never before has an emoluments case gone to trial in the U.S.

Federal District Judge Peter Messitte denied Trump's request for a stay and ordered the two parties to begin the discovery process.

The ruling means the plaintiffs, the attorneys general of Maryland and Washington, D.C., have some power to obtain documents from the president and his business ventures. Trump notably has not released his tax returns and has maintained ownership of his businesses."

IIRC, in the SDNY Judge Daniels dismissed the Plaintiffs' enoulments claim by concluding that only the (then-Republican controlled) Congress had standing. Presumably the Democrat-controlled house could revive it. Off the top of my head I believe that was the only enoulments case that was actually dismissed.

It will go nowhere. These judges don't understand the Constitution. They obviously can't read nor comprehend what it says. It's spelled out pretty plainly but these dummies can't understand it.

Oh, so the system is important.
I wonder why the left keeps wanting to do away with the system that includes the presumption of innocents. That's long been a part of the system.

Who has done away with the presumption of innocence in the criminal context? No one.
