they were NOT real bombs...
a real pipe bomb.. would not be pvc... a real bomb would have blackpowder or some other explosive, not Sulphur (the yellow/white powder the authorities mentioned (which is not an explosive, (it is the tenth most common mineral) it does burn though)....a real bomb would use metal for the projectiles, not usually would you use glass fragments (although they would hurt, unless you face is right in it, not lethal).... a real bomb would have a detonator/blasting cap to set it off
