Obama...

“We are a generous and welcoming people here in the United States,” Obama says in the 31-second clip. “But those who enter the country illegally and those who employ them disrespect the rule of law and they are showing disregard for those who are following the law. We simply cannot allow people to pour into the United States undetected, undocumented, unchecked, and circumventing the line of people who are waiting patiently, diligently and lawfully to become immigrants into this country.”

Clinton...

“All Americans … are rightly disturbed by the large numbers of illegal aliens entering our country,” Clinton said that night. “The jobs they hold might otherwise be held by citizens or legal immigrants. The public service they use impose burdens on our taxpayers. That’s why our administration has moved aggressively to secure our borders more by hiring a record number of new border guards, by deporting twice as many criminal aliens as ever before, by cracking down on illegal hiring, by barring welfare benefits to illegal aliens.”

They were against it before they were for it. Reality is they favoured open borders.

Stop with the lies already. Democrats have never been in favor of illegal immigration. Or put your money where your mouth is and prove what you are always saying. Show us a Democrat who said, "I believe in illegal immigration and open borders. Any immigrant who wants to come here without authorization, come on in! We welcome illegal aliens with open arms." So show us what you're saying is true.

Democrats aren't 'for' illegal immigration.

They are against drastic, inhumane, actions/laws that will deal with the problem.

Trying to resolve the issue of the dreamers in a compassionate manner is not supporting open borders. It isn't. It's addressing an existing issue that has been around for years and years and trying to resolve it in a way that takes into consideration the human beings behind the problem.

You all celebrated when Trump released from prison a woman who most definitely commited a crime. It was such a compassionate thing to do. Thing is -- she was and is a criminal -- she committed a crime...but there was a compassionate reason for releasing her.

Many of these Dreamers are illegal residents because they have been here since being a baby. They can't apply for citizenship given the existing laws because they would be deported. Yes they are criminals and deserve the same compassion you all thought that drug dealing grandma got.

Please do post some links showing Obama and Clinton specifically promoting illegal immigration as this implies they currently do.

Of course Obama and Clinton weren't 'FOR' illegal immigration. Neither are they today.

We just believe that we can stay true to our values, treat people with respect, NOT separate Mothers and Children and STILL manage immigration.

And if you feel the need to separate families at least provide a system of tracking that allows for future unification.

It would be cheaper for all of us for those of you fiscally slanted and less worried about the inhumanity of it all.
