When Trump called USPS the Amazon's Delivery boy, everybody gasped. He was called ignorant an not in command of his facts. Even USPS came out and said they know what they are doing. Well, Trump wins again.
The U.S. Postal Service has proposed a 9 to 12 percent increase in fees for the shipping service used by Amazon AMZN , just months after President Donald Trump criticized the USPS, saying it gives Amazon too good of a deal .
My husband is a Prime member. 2-4 packages are delivered to our home nearly every week by a private delivery company.
Only time something arrives via USPS, is when he orders something sold by a third party who does not use AMZ for fulfillment. Guess a higher shipping fee will be imposed by third party sellers to consumers.
You know, that would be a good way to collect the "internet sales taxes" that the activist court has written into law now...because its interstate commerce, make it so that sellers are required to remit it to a shipper like USPS if using that service, and make the USPS responsible for the collection of the tax, which must then be paid to the Treasury, and not to the states. In other words, the states can impose a tax, but it cannot be collected by them, because it anything in the realm of interstate commerce is under the authority of the Federal Government, so says the supremacy clause.
Then use the proceeds to BUILD THAT WALL!
LOL..that will make the blue states heads explode.
