Also, The Christmas Story is basically an enshrined icon of secular Christmas in this country. I'm really surprised that anyone wouldn't get the reference.
There isn't a parent in the world that doesn't know you give a baby a bb gun or pink water gun and you would get some reaction.

Awesome photo! Is that an official Red Ryder, carbine action, 200-shot, range model air rifle, with a compass in the stock and that thing that tells time ?

It was a replica gun. It couldn't shoot. And it's only maybe 12 inches long. About as dangerous as a pencil. Except pencils have a pointy end. And the kid is asleep, probably didn't even know he had it in his arms.

But it goes against the leftist goal of making everybody fall into acute fear and trembling at any slight mention of "a gun". And never associate a gun with any kind of "normal" scene. Or else people might get the idea they can handle a gun without liberals instructing them exactly how terrified they must be.

All my leftist friends? Dont give a care about this at all. Its mainly the right going on about how the left is melting down. Meanwhile the left is all "oh look at the cute pic". Seriously yall are some giant snowflakes thinking the left is going nuts about everything.

LMAO!

Maybe those parents wanted that photo and didn't care about the whining of way overly sensitive people. Not for nothing, but I have a photo of my son in pink pajamas and a BB gun from a few Christmases ago. Posted it on Facebook and Instagram without any controversy. Maybe my friends/followers have more common sense than those of the photographer/family in question.

I don't know one person who thinks this is at all controversial.
