my favorite was when trump, via michael cohen, sued bill maher for saying that trump was the spawn of an orangutan. because of it's very nature satire is protected from libel/slander lawsuits. to have a case you have to prove that it wasn't satire/a joke and that a "reasonable person" could believe it was factual. the burdon was on trump to prove that it is reasonable to believe that he is literally the son of an oragutan!
after making a big media stink about it cohen and trump quietly dropped the suit.

He has also FALSLEY claimed that he never settles, when actually he settles all the time!
The fact that he is willing to try this tactic again and again says something about his aberrant personality. A sad little man that doesn't have the strength of character to deal with everyday human interaction.
Winning libel cases is incredibly hard, usually the goal by people bringing up a libel case is to hurt you by getting you to lawyer up to defend yourself.
