And we should care what they think why Mr Dean? Imagine if they said Howard Dean should be president, should we automatically make it so then?
"I think people don’t actually really consider Trump a legitimate president," Dean said on MSNBC. "He was obviously elected and all this business, but he does not represent American values. George W. Bush did represent American values and our numbers went down as a result."
"I think people are beginning to understand that Trump does not represent American values," he continued. "He doesn’t even really represent the values of most people who voted for him."
The words from the quote above that I have highlighted tell you all you really need to know about this piece. This is his opinion. Nothing more. If I tell you "I think the moon is made of cheese" does that somehow automatically make it so? The same goes for Mr. Dean. He is entitled to "think" whatever he likes. That in no way means his opinions are actually shared by others. Once again, we have someone's opinion piece being debated as if the information being shared were proven facts beyond reproach. When in fact, it's just this guys opinion, most likely based on very limited personal investigation into the subject. I think we should find something more important to discuss. Of course....that's only my opinion. Nothing to get worked up about.
What is garbage? There is no denying the fact that Trump is not liked, respected or taken seriously through the world.
MSNBC is garbage. They are nothing but a Leftist propaganda channel.
Trump is a change agent. Those are never going to be liked by the world's establishment who were cozy with the previous Obama administration that apologized for the U.S. and worked to sell out the U.S.
With that said, Trump may not be liked but he is very much respected. There are growing movements around the world of Trump-style nationalism (inspired by Trump) in many countries. Philippines, Brazil, Austria, China, etc.
This is not even considering Kim Jung Un, who is now on friendly terms with the U.S. because of Trump. Before, he and NK was our single most dangerous threat in the world.

I live overseas - most people don't like Trump (I'm indifferent - I criticize him when I don't like his policies and praise him when he does good) but almost all of us think Trump represents American values of greed, narcissism, and self importance. You will be hard pressed to find one European and probably any other person from around the world who thinks Trump doesn't represent American values.

You're right, Trump does represent American values. That's the regrettable part.

Regrettable? The U.S. is only the wealthiest, most successful nation on Earth for the last century+ that just about every country in the world looks up to and wished they were even 1/10th as successful or in the case of illegals, scaling walls just to get into.

How terrible American values are.
America neither has the largest GDP or the largest GDP per capita anymore whether nominal or PPP adjusted. It's one of the wealthiest countries in the world, but since WW2, so it's too soon to say for the last century.
This kind of rhetoric perfectly encapsulates American values and how Trump is seen across the world.
I doubt Howard Dean really has his finger on the pulse of regular folks outside the U.S. The people he talks to from abroad are likely of the same globalist elite class as those who bash Trump in American media; the ones who see Angela Merkel, who made the biggest blunder of the postwar era letting a million Muslim men walk into Germany, as a "voice of reason" on the world stage. Many non-Americans know better, and prefer Trump's approach to the immigration issue.
