The RIGHT question is:

"What will this "genius" businessman do now to blunt the impact of his recession?

So you fall for every catch phrase the Democrats throw at you? “Trade War”. Hardly LOL

One wonders why "conservatives" care how people "feel"? Aren't "feelings" weaknesses...you know, croc tears and all that? Are conservatives weeping because a comedian said something? Must be so....

No one needs to help Trump in his destructive ways. I'm not predicting anything but it's a statement of fact that he has no idea what he is doing and that 2018 sucked....and that many indicators aren't looking good.

But projecting that I want my net worth to fall greatly...because it will make Trump look bad??? That's fantastic. That would be akin to gun nutters deciding they want to ban AR-15's and big magazines so they can "stick it" to the gun control people. Not logical.

When presented with facts (DOW, shrinking Deficits, more people insured), they'd come up with something like "yeah, but wait until QE3 is over, it will drop like a rock"....or repeat some other talking point they were fed that day.

It's just like their global warming thing..."It's cold today so there cannot be global warming - rather it is cooling...seriously..I have proof! Just look at this link right here"

Absolutely, and republicans in Washington did not want Obama to be successful, they blocked everything he wanted to get done once they were in control. Mitch McConnell even said, his jobs was to make Obama a one term president, so they said no to everything.

Just think about it. He is dead LAST in historical rankings of Presidents...these are people who have studied each and every nuance of all of them.

Trumps rating of himself doesn't count. I'll bet he voted for himself too.
Most of those people are biased, as some of the presidents they vote for were not too swift (regardless of party affiliation (assuming it is the same one I remember).

As to Trumps unpopularity, with a constant drumbeat of the MSM/press with fake or misleading news representing at least half of their stories, and studies showing 90%+ negative stories against him, it is little surprise his popularity is low.

Typical, just ignore the examples I gave, to then post some anecdotal examples of Obama haters.
As to the economy improving, his so called recovery was the worst in history, never breaking 3%. Remember him saying it was a "new normal"?

The irony of course is that while Obama blamed Bush for close to his two full terms, Obama now wants to take credit for how things are going since Trump was elected.
One of the lefts top economic gurus predicted disaster when Trump took office, and has now had to eat crow and wipe his face with his Nobel prize napkin.
How much you want to bet that if things go sideways with the economy if the (D's) block Trumps agenda, Obama & the D's wont be taking credit for anything going wrong.

What on earth are you talking about? Why do you want to demonize the other side?

My spouse and I both have 6 figures jobs. And we just started our own business. Why on earth would we want the economy to crash and burn?

I know, right? One of the silliest thing I ever heard, a popular right wing talking point here on CD. I don't know anyone in my world who wants the economy to fail, regardless to who is in office. Everybody needs a job, and to able to support themselves . A good a economy is always a good thing for everybody.

I did not ignore the examples you gave. The Obama haters did not want the economy to improve regardless. It had nothing to do with his budget.

I've got news for you: It's not going to be any different under Trump. In fact, it might even get worse.

If you had a 401k that would be proof enough for you. But then......Sorry
