After Election Day, Snipes’ office failed to regularly update the state’s system with ballot totals as required by law. Instead, Broward began uploading tens of thousands of votes — sometimes in the middle of the night.

She was still in office and was not scheduled to leave until January 4, 2019. Her term expires November 2020. Peter Antonacci will now serve out the remainder of that term.
