The Trump administration for months concealed a report that showed Wells Fargo charged college students fees that were on average several times higher than some of its competitors.
The “unpublished” report was obtained by POLITICO through a Freedom of Information Act request. It was produced by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau office previously led by Seth Frotman, who quit as the bureau’s top student loan official in protest of Trump administration policies. Frotman said in his resignation letter that CFPB leaders had “suppressed the publication” of the report.
pretty sure its the students responsibility to shop around and compare fees. They chose the rates and fees, its their fault.
Except you didn't even spend 2 mintues reading the news article. The issue also has to do with possible violations of federal rules already in place, and the cover up of it by the administration. Stop with the non-sequiturs that have nothing to do with the main topic of the article please.

I read the “news” article. I also checked out all the links in that article that the use to “prove” their allegations.
Every Link is behind a paywall AND is a Politico Paywall.
Article says this is about the 2016 school year ..... but, again - no proof of anything.
Article says this is about fees for Wire Transfers and mentions Foreign Students.
I’ve read tons of boring Federal Laws, hearing transcripts, reports & audits ...
none of them were behind a Politico Paywall.
I just don’t see an issue. They didn’t force the kids to accept.
