If this is not corrupt, then I don't know what is. He took full advantage of the authority, but as soon as his was voted out of the office, he signs bills to strip the new Governor of equal authority.

What a steamy pile of horse-puckie.

FOX CROSSING, Wis. — Scott Walker, the outgoing Republican governor of Wisconsin, on Friday signed into law measures that diminish the power of his Democratic successor and expand the authority of Republican lawmakers who teamed up with him over the last eight years to move the state firmly to the right.

Such patriots, these particular Republicans. Anything to win, nothing to purpose for the American people.

I think anything they sign that deals with their own office once they're on the way out should be stricken as soon as they leave office.

I don't like these sorts of power grabs. The NCGA tried to do it to our new governor and failed, thank goodness.

He didn't win, he lost, and he is stripping the winner of the authorities he himself enjoyed.

GOP never plays fair when it comes to elections. Supress the vote as much as possible from undesirable (i.e. Dem voting) constituencies. And if even that doesn't work and they still lose, just vote to take away Dems authority. GOP hates democracy. This is evidenced by just how many GOPers on here don't even understand that the US is a representative democracy.

Yep Republicans are nothing but scum. As said before they tried to do this twice in NC and both times failed, once by the courts and once by the people.

It's unbelievable that they're defying the wishes of the people by disempowering the incoming Governor. Wisconsinites should have a major revolution over this.

Don't you just love the Leftists here labeling all GOP's for the action of one person but when one Democrat does something bad, they are quick to point out that the action of one Democrat in that case does not represent all Democrats.

You Leftists are such hypocrites.

Are so saying that as a Republican you are against this?

If so, I commend you on the refreshing display of logic from your side.

I'm not saying all GOPers feel this way, but it really does seem that most of them are party before anything else these days.

Then I'll help you: it's politics as usual. This happens all the time in state politics when there's a changing of the guard.
