There is an article in today's news regarding the "designated survivor", and caused me to think about this for a while.
Over the years I have thought about the "what if" situation.
Why would anyone want the entire government of this country assembled in one room at one time?
It is absolutely ridiculous.
I have always felt the state of the union should be done from the oval office, where only the President and television cameras are present.
Why should the entire government be put in jeopardy for this one night of letting the citizens of this country know the state of the country?
The odds are an attack on the capitol would never happen, but why take that chance?
I for one am all for having the President broadcast the event from the oval office, with the rest of the government watching from afar.
