Kind of like the Mueller investigation...

Your link also says:

It's a serious stretch to think that this is some Russian plot.
Pushing it and having Trump expound it makes it easier to get approval.

"Serious stretching" like the Saudi Prince ordering a hit on a reporter with your guy poo-pooing that until he got smacked upside the head with incontrovertible evidence.

Any country this azzclown hopes will aid in sustaining his wealth after he's become the business pariah he has in the U.S. will get Trump's undying devotion.

Trumps showing more loyalty to Putin et-all than he's shown to his own staffers.

Talking Trump claims Soviet Union was correct in invading Afghanistan

Of course he did.

He had no option but to repeat what Putin ordered him to say.

No surprises here.

This just keeps getting better.

Trump loves spending his time in the evenings, reading sealed files all night.

Brian Williams, the $50M liar at NBC, is behind this reporting? You mean the guy who claimed to be under fire over there?

Trump doesn't have the attention span to read anything over 200 characters, I hope the files are short.

The Afghan war will always and forever be thought of negatively in Russia and any former republic who had significant participation. A blip on the radar after decades of negativity does not change this. Matter of fact, the legacy showed up with Russia's intervention in Syria, with opposition to having too much involvement over fears of a repeat of Afghanistan.
Exactly.

Look, we're talking about Trump here. He doesn't take "marching orders" from anyone. He's too egotistical to do that. Also, to Trump, Middle-East = terrorist. Invading another country for anything other than simple reasons is too hard a concept. Half of you here are giving him way too much credit.

If you can't tell, I'm not his biggest supporter, but I don't think there's some mastermind plot here to turn our country over to Russia, either. This is a lot of hyperventilating over nothing other than Trump saying yet another dumb thing.

I think we need to start giving Trump a pass when he comes out with some outer space story, like this one. The man is old, he is under a lot of stress right now, and he has probably been a little irregular. He simply does not have the ability to control his mouth, it has a mind of it's own, and just takes off, without any warning.

He is a very unique individual, and should donate his brain to science when he is gone. So much could be learned.

I mentioned this on another thread about this subject, the real story here and what needs to be paid attention to, at least IMHO is extreme criticism of Trump's view on this subject from the National Security Hawk...Right, which basically uses the Wall Street Editorial Page as its mouth piece. This criticism reflects the views of many Conservative Republicans in the Senate. That may prove to be crucial as we go down the road here. Some people think that there is no way Trump would be impeached by a Republican Senate, I'm of the opinion if Mueller has Trump inside the Kremlin these Republicans aint going to go along with that. And it is awfully odd that Trump is spouting Russian revisionist history. Keep in mind this is a post Jim Mattis DOD, something shifted here.

This all very strange. Obscure talking points about Afghanistan originating from Russia and no where else. Just what kind of duress can Trump be under to say such things? Time will tell hopefully.
