While the Senate democrats and some Senate republicans have been noting the individual hardships that their federally employed constituents face throughout the shutdown, Ted Cruz took the floor and began reminiscing at length about a retiring subordinate named Joyce. Now that Cruz is showing signs of going Grey, is Ted having a senior moment by forgetting the real problems that face America? I think not. Ted Cruz simply wants to convince America of the futility of not siding with fearless leader. He also wants to show how callous the republican leadership is prepared to be toward a significant fraction of the American public.

The only thing that Cruz did today is make America sad that they now need another six years to get rid of him.

Thanks. Big Ted is doing exactly what the majority of Texans voted him to do.
He may not be a sparkling personality, but he does know the law and makes a great Senator.
Yes, in 6 more years Texas can vote again if they want to keep Ted. Until then you got him.

How many idiot Dem Senators are there? Quite a few.
I love to see Spartacus the drama queen cry on cue.

Why was Lying Ted carrying on about a woman named Joyce on the Senate floor?

Was this a filibuster?
