He's such a baby. For the state of the union, they would be protected by people who weren't being paid because of the shutdown. The shutdown doesn't affect her trip at all. The DOD is not shut down. The only reason to cancel her trip was a tantrum and spite. This just makes him look like a fool.
To tell the truth, I found the pile of luggage in the hallway very amusing.
It doesn't seem all that bad. Beats the House, where the main person in charge decided to deal with her order problems with a junket, along with a bunch of more than 30 other members of that same disorderly House.
Uh, no. That trip was planned months and months in advance. Going to Afghanistan isn't not at all comparable with Mnuchin and his wife going on a shopping trip. Now that's a junket.

Well then the Speaker should stay in the house and find a compromise to the problem.
It takes two to tango. Difficult to do that with a man-child who says "it's my way or the highway" and has said no, no, no, to a number of possibilities floated. Plus you never know when Trump will change his mind and renege on a deal.

On Thursday, Trump said he was revoking a military flight for the CODEL, suggesting Pelosi fly commercial instead.
Pelosi was apparently prepared to do just that. But she told reporters Friday that in the midst of the planning, word came that the White House had leaked that the delegation was preparing to travel commercially."
