The big screens are cool I guess.

Oil has been going down more in price under President Trump then the price of Elon Musk's Tesla's.

Is looking like Elon Musk's Tesla is having some issues with the massive amount of debt and the soon to expire $3,750 federal credit.

I think much of it is the ultra-low gasoline prices because of aggressive, oil drilling President Trump's policies.

Amazing how President Trump energy policy caused such an oil boom that America is exporting oil for the first time in 75 years and gas is as low as 1.67 in Texas

A company with wild stock growth, built on government subsidies a cult of personality and has never turned a profit... is gonna have a difficult road ahead?

You don't say...

U.S. Becomes a Net Oil Exporter for First Time in 75 Years | Fortune

Welcome to the auto industry!!! Everybody thinks they can do it better. It's not that simple I am afraid. GM, FORD....they have been doing this for nearly a century. It's not easy.....I don't care how rich you are or how smart you think you are.

As expected, Tesla proved there was a market and developed a lot of tech. But as the big players turn to electrics too, I imagine one of them will just buy up Tesla’s tech in a fire sale.

I think this means that all urban life is a failure - especially in CA - and only white conservative rural areas are salvageable!!

Finished it for you, OP

Growth in oil and gas wells was higher under Obama than under Trump.
Gasoline was cheaper under Obama than it is under Trump.

We are also now a net exporter of oil under Trump.

An "oil boom" would be predicated on oil prices being sufficiently high to justify drilling and exploration in hard-to-reach potential sources. America's advantage is not only in recources, but in the technology to exploit those resources. Cheap oil effectively means that only Saudi Arabia can pump it at a profit. Cheap oil is exactly the opposite of what we need for a healthy US oil industry, or for the mostly rural/Heartland locations that host it. And as America becomes a net oil-exporting country, American society overall benefits from higher oil prices.

Sure, it might be viscerally satisfying to stick-it to the coastal techie "elites" like Musk, but with low oil prices we have the quintessential cut-off-nose-to-spite-face situation.
