President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un will hold a second summit near the end of February, the White House announced Friday.

White House press secretary Sarah Sanders put out a statement confirming the summit after Trump met with North Korea's chief nuclear negotiator Kim Jong Chol Friday in the Oval Office.

Why? Nothing was accomplished during the first meeting in Singapore. Perhaps a trip to Europe to mend fences with the NATO countries instead.

Its pretty clear NK is doing China's bidding as a proxy.

As long as they aren't firing missiles its a win and improvement over the last failed admin.

Don't you mean 44 years too late? Nothing was really going on there in 1985.

He must have had nightmares about being sent to Vietnam during the 60’s but Daddy and his crooked podiatrist bailed him out. All those young men whose parents had no power and influence lost their lives. Commander in Chief? Absolute disgrace.

The first American casualty was in 1956.

You do understand that Nixon sabotaged the peace talks, don't you? That would be a violation of the Logan Act enacted January 30, 1799. Had it been known Nixon could have been prosecuted and would not have become president. Had he not interfered for his own selfish political reasons the war could have ended four or five years sooner and more than 21,000 Americans would have been spared their lives and many more would not have been maimed.

1969–73 (Nixon-R): 21,194 US dead

1974–75 (Ford-R): 63 US dead

Not to mention many hundreds of thousands of Vietnamese, Cambodians and Laotians.

"Haldeman, 42, was Nixon’s campaign chief of staff, a devoted political adjutant since the 1950s. In late October 1968, the two men connected on what came to be known as “the Chennault Affair.” Nixon gave Haldeman his orders: Find ways to sabotage Johnson’s plans to stage productive peace talks, so that a frustrated American electorate would turn to the Republicans as their only hope to end the war."

More dirty tricks from the Republicans which you try to whitewash with your spin here ... post fail.
Nah, Truman started it all when he established The Defense Attaché Office in Saigon in May 1950.

He also sent the MAAG (Military Assistance Advisory Group) later that same year.
