The democratic party undermined the historical significance of this meeting by holding a
public media circus surrounding Michael Cohen at the same exact time. The democratic
party exposed themselves once more and will stop at nothing. There are geopolitical
advantages to work towards a unified Korea and a possible future trading partner and only
President Donald Trump has had the courage to step up to the plate.
Um, exactly what did Trump accomplish that we didn't know about? We didn't miss anything. So why would we want to watch an entire day of nothing?

The only circus performers yesterday were Gym Jordan and Mark Meadows. Jordan acted and sounded nuts. Meadows brings out a black woman who works for Trump to prove he's not racist. And that Higgins guy should be put out to pasture--confused or what?
As far as the 'historical importance' of the 'summit,' it apparently was not too important for Trump, who managed to call Matt Gaetz to thank him for threatening Cohen while on his way to the 'historically significant' meeting.
He obviously failed in securing a deal, no doubt about it. He owns that now.
But that's not what's important. I'm not interested that he failed in this last summit or the summit before it... I'm interested to see how the situation evolves and new methods/tactics are tried. When you fail a final in your first year of college, you don't say "Welp, I guess that's it for my career, time to quit school and work at McDonalds for the rest of my life", you figure out what went wrong and make corrections.
Of course Trump is entering his Junior year of his Presidency...maybe...depends who he's threatened about releasing transcripts.
Drive-by media, who clearly don't know Trump at all since they get everything wrong, was predicting Trump would give away the store just to say he got a deal. Yesterday Ed Henry on Fox News made a prescient comment, saying anyone who has read The Art of the Deal knows Trump would walk away, even at the last minute, if he didn't get what he wanted. He is very determined. He and other Fox talking heads said not to be surprised if he did what Reagan did to Gorbachev, who had a friendly relationship. They later did a deal.
Of course the Dems, RINOs and media are breathing a sigh of relief that there is no deal! They love the US sooo soooo much. Yeah.
P.S. Listen to Rush now. He always has great perspective on events, especially the mainstream media and how they think. Also great on political strategy and history. Once you start listening, you will never go back to fake news. The truth is refreshing.
He will not get any credit for doing so. There was literally no outcome to this summit where democrats and the media would have given him positive coverage. Even if he made a slam dunk deal with Kim, democrats would have credited Obama for laying the groundwork or some BS, and if he walked out, they would say Trump failed. We are reminded yet again why the news media is the most untrusted institution in America.
Personally, I think Trump did make the right move by walking out. The important thing will be how he adjusts his strategy and tactics going forward. It will be interesting to watch this play out in the coming weeks, months.
I give Trump credit for being open to meeting with Kim, and I think the first summit was mildly successful even if no agreement was reached. But this time? Why the hell did Trump go to Vietnam if he had no idea what Kim would agree to? You don't go into a negotiation with no idea what the other side is thinking. Was this just play acting so that he could make a show of "walking away from the table"? He looks like an idiot. Kim again wins by being on stage with the leader of the most powerful nation on earth, and didn't have give anything to do it.
