Interestingly, there was a 1965 political thriller, by Fletcher Knebel, The Night of Camp David, which is now being re-issued. The headline on the new ad is:
WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF THE PRESIDENT OF THE U.S.A. WENT STARK-RAVING MAD?
I guess the publisher must feel it's suddenly relevant again, eh?
I haven't read it, but now I'm curious. Have any of you read it?

That kind of president would distract his followers with shiny objects, do everything he could to destroy protections for the vulnerable, allow businesses to pollute, make it easier for banks to cheat their customers, give himself and his cronies huge unwarranted tax breaks, surround himself with criminals ... oh, wait ...

If I may, I believe that poster's comment is referencing how some others were outwardly never accepting of our previous president due to his race, not that this is the poster's view.
