Michael Cohen has canceled his scheduled testimony to the House Oversight Committee, citing - in part - threats against his family by Donald Trump.

Quote:
Mr. Cohen was scheduled to appear before the House Oversight Committee on Feb. 7 at the invitation of Representative Elijah Cummings, Democrat of Maryland and the chairman of the committee, but backed out because of ongoing threats against his family, his lawyer Lanny Davis said in a statement. He cited Mr. Trump’s verbal attacks on Mr. Cohen and some of his relatives.

“By advice of counsel, Mr. Cohen’s appearance will be postponed to a later date,” Mr. Davis said in the statement. “Mr. Cohen wishes to thank Chairman Cummings for allowing him to appear before the House Oversight Committee and looks forward to testifying at the appropriate time.” He added, “This is a time where Mr. Cohen had to put his family and their safety first.”

And yet the Trumplings will continue to close their eyes to this and pretend it's perfectly normal, just business as usual

Alleged threats !!!

This is how a rush to judgement gets traction.

Cohen better have some proof to back up his statement. So far none evident.

Um, wouldn't that be illegal, i.e., witness tampering?

Typical dem liberal response.
Coming to conclusions of guilt, without one speck of evidence.
You dems are pitiful beyond words.

Your baseless accusation is pitiful. The OP did nothing but cite an article that cites what Cohen's lawyer himself said. You have problems with that, take it up with the lawyer or with Cohen.
And yes, if this is true, it most definitely is a crime.

Not rushing to judgement isn't closing the eyes. Closing the eyes is rush to judgement.

It normal that someone in the collective is doing what dishonest media just got spanked for. Acting like something is true just because someone alleges its true without any proof offered to back it up.

yep. We've all heard them. Whether anything gets carried out might be up for speculation, but the threats were uttered publicly by the President. I'm not sure why the title of this thread got changed to add the word alleged, because I didn't have it in there.
